Thanksgiving Card

Brief:

I created a autumnal postcard for the Horticulture Center to send out to donors and volunteers of the Center for Thanksgiving. The card needed to have plant elements and a message of thanksgiving.

Process:

After some initial sketches, I decided to let lettering be the focal point of the card, and hand-lettered the phrase “we are so very thankful”. I then illustrated and intertwined various fall foliage pieces throughout the card to add that horticultural touch. As well as serving a practical purpose as a “thinking of you” card, we wanted it to be something that could be reused as an art piece for its recipients. This card was mailed out to donors in time for Thanksgiving.
