Elizabeth Street Floral

Branding

Brief:

Betsy is an amazing gardener (check out her Instagram to be inspired!) who contacted me about creating a logo and brand identity for her flower business, Elizabeth Street Floral. The amazing thing about this project is that I had been wanting to create a brand identity for a flower shop for awhile—it was on my dream project list, and I had already fleshed it out to where I knew I wanted it to be romantic and a little bit whimsical, with English cottage/Pride and Prejudice classic vibes, and I had decided the name would be Elizabeth Darcy Floral. Wellll, here we are. Betsy’s business is located in Connecticut (NEW England!), and her style is very similar to what I was envisioning for my conceptual brand—AND her business is named Elizabeth Street Floral?! Miracles do happen.

Process:

After working through some brand touchpoints about her target audience and the kind of aesthetic she was envisioning, we developed her logos, which include a “stamp” version, as well as her primary logo. The typography we chose is delicate, feminine, and totally has English Cottage vibes, which we paired with a rosy color palette to represent the flowers she grows. A delicate foxglove illustration was created to complete the identity.
