Brief:

Emily established her coffee business in 2018 after creating the logo as a project in college. She contacted me about tightening up her existing brand and doing a revamp on her website.

Along with the website revamp, I created new business cards, menus, social media highlight icons, batch delivery IG story layouts, a directory panel and lightpole banner (check out their brick & mortar at the Shoppes of Grand Prairie!), and also did some brand photography. I also created a stamp icon to use as a logo variation for use in mediums where her original logo might not be the best fit. Overall, our goal was to tighten up and strengthen what she had already.

Process:

This project was unique in that I was able to build off of an existing brand. I created a brand standards manual to enable her to easily find the finalized brand colors and typography details. Probably the biggest aspect of the project was revamping the website—we clarified some of her copy and created a clearer “path” for visitors to follow through her website through the various pages and links. On a personal note, Emily and I went to the same college for graphic design, and as an iced coffee lover, I can say that her iced miel latte, and the brown sugar cinnamon latte that she makes are amazing and definitely worth a visit to her shop.
