How To Make Iced Coffee Motion Design

Brief:

For this project, I created an informative motion piece showing the process behind making iced coffee. I used type, music, vector imagery, and photography along with a unique color palette and transitions to achieve the overall mood I was looking for. I’m a big fan of iced-coffee year round, and to keep myself from going completely broke, I make my own coffee at home a lot of the time.

Process:

For this piece, I wanted to create a very warm, cozy, hygge vibe. To do this, I took still shots of various areas of my kitchen, and then edited them to get those warm, grainy film tones. I then digitally illustrated important components of the coffee-making process to add a bit of modern flair and motion. I did a lot of scouting for the perfect sounds to incorporate (and even created some of my own) and the perfect music touch for the background ambiance. The end goal for this project was to inspire the viewer to want to go create a fun iced coffee drink and enjoy a sip of deliciousness.

Transitions and scene changes were timed to coordinate with the music.
