Brief:

YMI, which stands for “Why Am I?” is a platform for Christian young people all over the world to ask questions about life and discover their true purpose. As a branch of Our Daily Bread Ministries, they have a special focus on the younger generation. I created an animated lettering piece for their Christmas day Instagram post, titled “Blessed Christmas”. Keeping in tune with their color palette, the goal was to create something that brings to mind the warmth and joy of Christmas day.   

Process:

To illustrate these themes, I utilized a whimsical lettering style paired with a mug of hot chocolate and swirls of steam to bring those cozy + warm feelings to the piece.
